A No-Show

A momentous day: the opening of the Masters in Fine Art (MFA) Final Show. The culmination of two years of reading, writing, making, reflecting and curating.

But the moment is bittersweet, because this show is not open to the public. It’s a no-show.

Limitations can open up new creative solutions: a Zoom-based private view, using Google Streetview to offer an 360 view, experimenting with new ways to video and photograph work. But there is no substutite for seeing a piece of art with your own eyes, taking your time to contemplate it at your own pace, from your own perspective.

There will be another chance to see some of this work in a pop-up show in September (more news on that soon) - but in the meantime, enjoy these digital versions of an analogue body of work.
