Ice drawings
In February, the stream that runs down one side of Christ Church Meadow in Oxford froze over. As the ice thawed, it left beautiful formations: miniature icebergs floating adrift, ice ledges hanging from the banks, stalactites dangling from overhanging twigs.
My first instinct was to take photos and put them on instagram. But there's something about drawing that posting a photo can't replace. Feeling your way around an image, looking closely at what is there, but also allowing your imagination to lead you towards how it might be different.
